Strange Adventures, a comic book and gaming store at 68 York St., will be featured on the cover of a new Godzilla comic, slated for release next month. Manager Jason Arnold said IDW Publishing, the publisher of the Godzilla comic, informed comics retailers of a new promotional idea. Adrianne Palicki cast as the new Wonder Woman Times & Transcript Published Friday February 18th, 2011 Adrianne Palicki will play Wonder Woman in David E. Kelley's new TV pilot for NBC, Entertainment Weekly reports. And considering her gorgeous looks and incredible height (she's 5'11"!), the 27-year-old seems like the perfect choice to play the super Amazon. Kelley's script for the Wonder Woman pilot has received underwhelming reviews, but Palicki's casting could be the show's saving grace - after all, she's already received plenty of critical praise for Friday Night Lights and the lauded-but-short-lived Lone Star. Still, the actress has her work cut out for her, as she'll actually be playing three separate roles on Wonder Woman: billionaire business mogul Diana Themyscira, Diana's ho-hum assistant Diana Prince and, of course, the titular superhero. A few more roles still need to be cast before the pilot goes into production, but Wonder Woman is considered one of NBC's best bets for the Fall 2011 season.

In Brad Doucette's world, Star Wars is huge and he wants to share his passion with others. Last October, he and like-minded friends started to meet in Queen Square, where he demonstrated his lightsaber skills. He has studied how to use one since he was a child. When it was too cold to meet outdoors, they started to meet indoors and a club, called East Coast Sabers, was formed. Every Monday night since then, over 30 club members, who range in age from 11 to 36, meet to practice their techniques.
